Fresh Apple Date Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. raw apples, chopped
  • 1 c. dates, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, oil, eggs, salt and juice.
  2. Add flour, soda, apples, dates and nuts.
  3. Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake in a preheated slow oven (325°) for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
