Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 cups fresh cherries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 or 4 drops almond extract
  • 3 or 4 drops red food coloring
  • 4 frozen pie shells

Instructions

  1. Stir together the cornstarch and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Add the cherries, almond drops, and red food coloring to the mixture.
  3. Fill two pie shells with the cherry mixture.
  4. Cover with the remaining two pie shells, pricking them with a fork to allow steam to escape.
  5. Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
