Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 slices bacon
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 c. fresh corn
  • 3 c. shredded cabbage

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon in skillet, then remove.
  2. Add water, salt and sugar to
  3. bacon
  4. drippings and bring to a boil.
  5. Add corn and cabbage and
  6. cook,
  7. covered,
  8. until
  9. tender, about 7 minutes, stirring frequently.
  10. Garnish with bacon strips.
