Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced okra
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the okra, leaving it damp.
  2. Sprinkle the sliced okra with salt to taste.
  3. Sprinkle with flour, shaking off any excess.
  4. Heat 1/4 cup oil in a skillet over low heat.
  5. Add the coated okra to the skillet.
  6. Cook on low, turning often to prevent burning.
  7. Continue cooking until the okra is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Add more oil to the skillet if needed during cooking.
