Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. berries

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar together.
  2. Add egg yolks, milk, flour, baking powder, vanilla, and salt; mix until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Place unwashed berries, hole side up, in the batter.
  5. Sprinkle the top with sugar.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
  7. Frost with white icing while still slightly warm.
