Ingredients

  • 2 English or Armenian or 3 large regular cucumbers
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 medium green pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 c. white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cut the unpeeled cucumbers into slices 1/16-inch thick.
  2. Combine the sliced cucumbers, green pepper, and onion in a large jar or bowl.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and celery seed over the vegetables.
  4. Stir gently to mix and let stand for about 1 hour.
