Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1/2 lb bacon
  • 8 oz macaroni

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon in a frying pan until crisp.
  2. Remove the fried bacon and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.
  3. Slice the cabbage into 6 quarters, then separate the leaves and add them to the frypan with the bacon grease.
  4. Cover the frypan and cook over medium heat until the cabbage is tender, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Cook the macaroni in boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  6. Add the cooked, drained macaroni and fried bacon to the cabbage in the frypan.
  7. Cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring periodically to prevent burning.
