  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup butter or vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat electric skillet to 375°F (for crispier chicken, preheat to 425°F).
  2. Cut chicken into serving size pieces.
  3. Combine flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
  4. Melt butter or vegetable oil in the skillet.
  5. Dip chicken pieces into the seasoned flour, coating evenly.
  6. Place chicken in the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides.
  7. Add water to the skillet.
  8. Cover the skillet and lower the temperature to 250°F.
  9. Continue cooking for about 45 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
