Ingredients

  • 3 ripened tomatoes
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup flour
  • 4 Tbsp melted butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Slice tomatoes and dip in flour.
  2. Fry in melted butter until the tomatoes are tender and the mixture thickens.
  3. Stir in brown sugar and gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
  4. Cook over low heat until the gravy is thickened.
  5. Keep warm until ready to serve.
