Ingredients

  • 1 large pkg. Regular Fritos
  • 1 large can Refried Beans
  • 2 cans Plain Chili Con Carne, WITHOUT Beans
  • 1 large or 2 small Onions
  • 1/2 to 3/4 lb. Cheddar Cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Crush the Fritos and layer approximately one-third of them in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the refried beans evenly over the Fritos layer.
  3. Pour the two cans of plain chili con carne without beans over the beans.
  4. Chop the onions and sprinkle them over the chili layer.
  5. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the entire casserole.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional toppings if desired.
