"Frosted" Jello

A light, fruity dessert featuring sugar-free jello combined with pineapple and topped with Cool Whip and a sweet gravy, perfect for a refreshing treat or casual gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. sugar-free jello
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple
  • 4 c. Cool Whip
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. flour

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sugar-free jello according to the package directions and let it semi-set.
  2. Squeeze and drain the crushed pineapple, reserving the juice.
  3. Mix the drained pineapple into the semi-set jello and refrigerate until fully set.
  4. Melt the margarine over medium heat in a sauté pan.
  5. Whisk in the flour until a crumbly mixture forms.
  6. Add 1/2 cup of the reserved pineapple juice and whisk until the mixture reaches a gravy-like consistency.
  7. Let the gravy cool completely.
  8. Fold in the Cool Whip into the cooled gravy.
  9. Spread or

  11. the set jello with the Cool Whip mixture.
  12. Sprinkle cheese over the top of the frosted jello and serve.
