Brown Eyes are delightful no-bake cookies featuring peanut butter and chocolate chips, perfect for quick treats or satisfying sweet cravings for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups quick oatmeal
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter (plain or crunchy)
  • 1 (14 oz.) can Borden Eagle Brand milk
  • 1/2 pound chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients, except chocolate chips, thoroughly. Mixture will be thick.
  2. Spray cookie sheets with Pam or other vegetable spray.
  3. Drop heaping 1/2 teaspoonfuls of mixture on cookie sheet.
  4. Place 2 chocolate chips, side by side, like eyes. Press into cookie dough lightly.
  5. Bake at 375°F for about 10 minutes; check.
  6. Take out before the cookies turn brown.
  7. Do not let the bottom of the cookies get brown or they will be too hard.
  8. Cool on wire racks, then store.
