Frosted strawberries are a delightful treat featuring sweet coconut, almond flavor, and vibrant red color, perfect for festive occasions or a charming dessert for all ages.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 2/3 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 (3 oz.) package strawberry gelatin
  • 1/2 cup ground blanched almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • Red food coloring
  • Additional red food coloring
  • Confectioners sugar
  • Heavy cream

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, flaked coconut, 3 tablespoons of strawberry gelatin, ground blanched almonds, almond extract, and enough red food coloring to tint the mixture a strawberry shade.
  2. Form small amounts (about 1/2 tablespoon) of the mixture into strawberry shapes.
  3. Sprinkle remaining gelatin into a flat dish.
  4. Roll each strawberry in the gelatin to coat.
  5. Place the coated strawberries on waxed paper and refrigerate.
