Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. light corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/3 c. cold water
  • dash of salt

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients, except vanilla, into a double boiler.
  2. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Cook, beating constantly, with an electric beater until mixture forms peaks, about 7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat; add vanilla and beat until of spreading consistency.
