- Add sugar to the egg white and beat until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the beaten egg white into the cooled lemon mixture.

- Layer three-quarters of the crumb mixture in a 1-1/2 quart rectangular baking dish.
- Spread the lemon mixture over the crumb layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumbs over the lemon mixture.
- Put the dessert in the freezer and chill thoroughly.
- Cut into squares and serve.
