- In a 13 x 9-inch pan, layer the crushed pineapple (undrained) first.
- Add the can of pie filling of your choice (cherry or blueberry) on top of the pineapple layer.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of chopped pecans evenly over the pie filling.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the pecans.
- Drizzle the melted margarine evenly over the cake mix.
- Sprinkle sugar and remaining pecans over the top of the mixture.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes to 1 hour until bubbly and golden.
- Serve warm or at room temperature, yielding approximately 12 to 15 servings.
