Fruit Slices offer a delicious combination of crunchy cereal, sweetened condensed milk, coconut, and mixed fruit, creating a sweet, chewy treat suitable for all ages. Perfect for a quick dessert or snack, this no-bake slice is easily customizable with your favorite dried or fresh fruits.

Ingredients

  • 10 crushed cereal (Weet-a-Bix or similar)
  • 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 4 oz butter
  • 1 cup mixed fruit including dates
  • ginger or nuts
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan, then add the sweetened condensed milk and cocoa. Heat gently until well combined.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in chopped mixed fruit, coconut, and crushed cereal.
  3. Press the mixture into a Swiss roll tin and allow to cool.
  4. Once cooled, ice the fruit slice with lemon icing and cut into squares to serve.
