Ingredients

  • 1 quart raspberries
  • 1 cup Bisquick
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Mix Bisquick, shortening, 2 tablespoons sugar, and milk together to form a batter.
  2. Place raspberries in a casserole dish.
  3. Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the berries.
  4. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cornstarch; sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  5. Pour water over all ingredients in the dish.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 1 hour and 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Serve plain or with milk or whipped cream.
