- Melt oleo in a saucepan over low heat.
- Add chopped mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, parsley flakes, garlic powder, and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Fry unseasoned chicken pieces in hot deep fat for 15 minutes until cooked.
- Season each chicken piece and place in a baking dish.
- Pour the butter sauce over the chicken.
- Bake uncovered at 325°F for 45 to 60 minutes.
- Halfway through baking, add mushrooms to the dish.
- Turn and baste the chicken several times until fully cooked.
