Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 squares bitter chocolate, melted
  • Powdered sugar (optional)
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Beat eggs slightly in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add sugar and stir until combined.
  4. Add melted butter and melted chocolate; mix well.
  5. Mix flour, salt, and chopped nuts in a separate bowl.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients along with vanilla and stir; do not beat.
  7. Pour the batter into a buttered 9-inch pan.
  8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 325°F.
  9. Allow to cool, then cut into fingers.
  10. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
