Ingredients

  • 6 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 8 oz. can walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt unsweetened chocolate and margarine or butter together until smooth.
  3. In a large bowl, beat eggs until well blended.
  4. Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract to the eggs, mixing well.
  5. Stir in melted chocolate mixture.
  6. Combine flour and salt, then add to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  7. Fold in chopped walnuts.
  8. Pour batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
  9. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
