Ingredients

  • 2 qt. water
  • 1 qt. white vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 c. kosher salt
  • lump of alum
  • dill

Instructions

  1. Boil water, vinegar, salt, and alum for 5 minutes.
  2. Pack dill and 1 clove garlic into the bottom of a sterilized jar.
  3. Pack pickles into the jar and add more dill as needed.
  4. Pour hot liquid over the pickles and seal the jar.
