Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 small green onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Combine cabbage, green onion, and green pepper in a large bowl and set aside.
  2. Combine vinegar, mustard seed, sugar, and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
  3. Pour the hot mixture over the vegetables and toss to coat.
  4. Chill for several hours or overnight before serving.
