Ingredients

  • 1 lb. potatoes
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp. cream of wheat
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 c. bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes until soft enough to mash.
  2. Add beaten eggs, cream of wheat, pepper, salt, and nutmeg to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into balls.
  4. Lightly roll the balls into bread crumbs.
  5. Cook the dumplings in rapidly boiling water for 15 minutes.
