Ingredients

  • 1 large package fresh spinach or 2 boxes frozen spinach
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • several slices bacon, cooked until crisp

Instructions

  1. Boil the spinach until tender, then drain and chop into pieces.
  2. Saute chopped onion in a small amount of butter or margarine until translucent.
  3. Add the chopped spinach to the onion and simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Add a small amount of milk depending on the amount of spinach.
  5. Beat the egg and add it to the spinach mixture.
  6. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and add crumbled bacon.
  7. Serve the dish warm.
