Ingredients

  • celery
  • cauliflower
  • carrots
  • green peppers
  • onions
  • hot peppers
  • white vinegar
  • salt
  • powdered alum

Instructions

  1. Use whatever amounts of each vegetable you desire.
  2. Wash and slice them.
  3. Cut celery on the diagonal.
  4. Slice carrots about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Hot peppers to taste.
  6. Put them in quart jars tightly.
  7. For each quart, use 1/4 teaspoon alum melted in some vinegar and 1 teaspoon salt.
  8. Fill jar with vinegar and cover with lid.
  9. Keep in refrigerator.
  10. Will keep for about 6 months.
