Ingredients

  • 16 slices bread, trimmed of crusts
  • 8 slices Old English cheese
  • 1/2 lb shaved ham
  • 7 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 3 cups crushed cornflakes
  • 1/4 lb melted oleo

Instructions

  1. Mix eggs, milk, salt, and dry mustard in a bowl.
  2. Layer bread slices, cheese slices, and shaved ham into a greased 9 x 13-inch dish.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients.
  4. Top with crushed cornflakes.
  5. Drizzle melted oleo over the top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours or overnight.
  7. Bake uncovered at 300°F for 1 hour until set and golden.
