Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 pound margarine
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream together the margarine and Crisco.
  2. Add the confectioners sugar and beat well.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
  4. Sift the flour and salt together.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture and vanilla to the creamed ingredients, mixing well.
  6. Pour batter into a prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 1/2 hours.
