Glazed Turkey Kabob
Juicy turkey kabobs glazed with a sweet and savory pineapple-brown sugar-soy sauce, perfect for grilling or broiling, ideal for family gatherings and summer barbecues.
Ingredients
- 16 (1-inch) cooked Butterball turkey pieces (1 lb.) ⓘ
- water
- 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained ⓘ
- pineapple juice (from can)
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce ⓘ
- 16 slices beef or turkey bacon, cut into halves ⓘ
- 2 large red bell peppers, cut into 24 triangles ⓘ
- 3 large green bell peppers, cut into 32 triangles ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat the broiler.
- Add water to the pineapple juice to make 1 cup.
- Combine the pineapple juice, brown sugar, and soy sauce in a small saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Set the glaze aside.
- Thread the cooked turkey pieces, pineapple chunks, bell pepper triangles, and bacon halves onto skewers.
- Place the skewers under the preheated broiler or on a grill.
- Brush the skewers with the prepared glaze during cooking.
- Cook until heated through and slightly caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
- Serve over hot cooked rice.
