Tips & Substitutions

For added moisture, consider mixing in a beaten egg or a splash of Worcestershire sauce with the hamburger meat. If you prefer a different flavor, you can substitute the dry onion soup with a packet of ranch dressing mix. For the cheese, sharp cheddar or mozzarella can work well if Longhorn cheese is unavailable. Make sure to let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before serving to enhance its juiciness.

Serving Suggestions

This glorified meatloaf pairs beautifully with Baked Peas or a fresh side salad for a balanced meal. You can serve it with a dollop of ketchup or your favorite barbecue sauce for extra flavor. Consider adding some roasted vegetables or a side of mashed sweet potatoes to complement the dish and create a colorful plate.

Storage & Reheating

Leftover glorified meatloaf can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, slice the meatloaf and place it in a microwave-safe dish, covering it with a damp paper towel to prevent drying out. Heat on medium power until warmed through, about 2-3 minutes, or reheat in the oven at 350°F until hot.
