- Let the mixture rest for a while.
- Add the butter and mix quickly until combined.
- Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, until a large ball of dough forms.
- Cut the dough into pieces and roll each piece into a rope.
- Cut each rope into pieces about 3/4-inch long.
- Use your index and middle fingers to press into each piece, creating an indentation.
- Cook the gnocchi in boiling water until they float to the surface and are cooked through.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and serve with spaghetti sauce and meatballs.
