Golden candy bars with a rich vanilla and pecan flavor, sweet and creamy, perfect for satisfying sweet tooth cravings or sharing at gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 (3 1/2 oz.) vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon liquid butter flavoring
  • 2/3 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine vanilla pudding mix, sugar, and evaporated milk.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in butter and liquid butter flavoring.
  4. Pour the mixture into a bowl and beat with a mixer for 4 to 5 minutes until thick and no longer glossy.
  5. Stir in chopped pecans.
  6. Fill a buttered plastic ice cube tray halfway with the mixture.
  7. Refrigerate until the candy is firm.
  8. Remove the candy from the tray and wrap in foil wrappers.
