Ingredients

  • 4 cups Cheerios
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup salted peanuts or walnuts
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 can Carnation milk

Instructions

  1. Mix Cheerios, nuts, and coconut in a large bowl; set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and milk; cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches 236°F (soft ball stage).
  3. Remove from heat and pour the syrup mixture over the Cheerios mixture; mix well.
  4. Press the mixture into a buttered 9-inch pan and pat down evenly.
  5. Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares and serve.
