Golden mushrooms offer a crispy, flavorful coating with Italian seasoning and red pepper, perfect as an appetizer or side for mushroom lovers and those seeking a savory snack.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. small fresh mushrooms
  • 8 oz. canned mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup crushed corn flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse, pat dry, and trim fresh mushrooms or drain canned mushrooms.
  2. Set aside.
  3. In a small paper or plastic bag, combine crushed corn flakes, Italian seasoning, salt, and red pepper.
  4. Dip mushrooms into half and half, then into the bag with corn flakes and shake to coat.
  5. Place coated mushrooms on a cookie sheet.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15 minutes.
  7. Serve warm.
