Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 stalks celery
  • turkey
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Put the turkey on a rack in the roaster.
  2. Add 3 cups of water, the large onion, and celery stalks to the roaster.
  3. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  4. Place the turkey in the oven and cook at 6 minutes per pound at 450°F.
  5. Turn off the oven, but leave the turkey inside.
  6. Let the turkey cook overnight or until morning for juicy and tender meat with lots of broth.
