Ingredients

  • 3 lb. venison roast
  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • lemon pepper
  • seasoned salt
  • 2 large garlic cloves
  • 1/4 c. olive oil
  • 2 c. onion
  • 2 c. green pepper
  • carrots
  • mushrooms
  • 2 c. celery
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and prepare a large roasting bag according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, lemon pepper, seasoned salt, minced garlic, and olive oil to create a marinade.
  3. Place the venison roast in the marinade, ensuring it is well coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Chop the onion, green pepper, carrots, and mushrooms into suitable pieces.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped vegetables with water and cornstarch, stirring well to incorporate.
  6. Place the marinated venison roast into the prepared roasting bag.
  7. Add the chopped vegetables and the water-cornstarch mixture into the bag around the roast.
  8. Seal the bag and place it in a roasting pan.
  9. Cook in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 3 hours, or until the meat is tender.
  10. Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, then serve hot.
