Instructions
- Mix 1/4 cup salad oil and chopped garlic in a blender.
- Rub the mixture onto the inside of a wooden bowl.
- Tear lettuce leaves and place in the bowl with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

- Mix remaining salad oil and cider vinegar together and pour over the salad.
- Toss the salad well until evenly coated.
