Ingredients

  • 1 cup salad oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 heads lettuce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Gorgonzola cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix 1/4 cup salad oil and chopped garlic in a blender.
  2. Rub the mixture onto the inside of a wooden bowl.
  3. Tear lettuce leaves and place in the bowl with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  4. Toss the lettuce lightly to combine.
  5. Mix remaining salad oil and cider vinegar together and pour over the salad.
  6. Toss the salad well until evenly coated.
  7. Add sliced tomatoes and grated Gorgonzola cheese to the salad and toss again before serving.
