Gotompki are flavorful cabbage rolls filled with seasoned meat and rice, baked to tender perfection—perfect for family dinners or comfort food lovers.

- Boil the whole cabbage in a large pot until tender.
- Remove the cabbage leaves and cut out the thick stem from each leaf.
- Fry chopped onion in fat back grease until translucent.
- Add hamburger meat to the onion and cook until browned.
- Drain excess grease from the meat mixture.
- Mix grated carrots and cooked rice into the meat mixture.
- Layer the bottom of a deep baking pan with some cabbage leaves.
- Take a cabbage leaf, hold it in your hand, and place a spoonful of the meat mixture inside.
- Roll up the cabbage leaf around the filling and place it seam side down in the pan.
- Repeat with remaining leaves and filling, arranging rolls in the pan.
- Pour enough water into the pan to cover the bottom.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
