Gouda Wellington offers a rich, cheesy twist on the classic beef Wellington, featuring melted gouda, sweet apricot preserves, and a flaky crescent dough crust, perfect for elegant gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce can crescent rolls
  • 17 ounces gouda cheese
  • 1/2 cup apricot preserves
  • 1 egg white
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Press perforations on the crescent roll dough with fingers to seal and form a solid rectangle.
  3. Remove casing from the gouda cheese and place it in the center of the dough.
  4. Spread apricot preserves over the cheese.
  5. Fold the dough around the cheese and preserves to enclose completely.
  6. Brush the top of the dough with beaten egg white.
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to rest and set for a few minutes, then cut into wedges and serve.
