Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup dates
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups flour
