Ingredients

  • 2 hand dips cornmeal
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. Crisco oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°.
  2. Mix all ingredients together and stir up well.
  3. If it mixes up a little dry, add water until it's about the consistency of pancake mix.
  4. Before pouring into a 10 x 17-inch baking dish, put a thin layer of Crisco oil on bottom of dish and then pour in batter.
  5. Bake about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
