Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 cups flour
  • vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream together the butter and brown sugar.
  2. Add eggs 1 at a time beating well after each.
  3. Sift together dry ingredients.
  4. Add dry ingredients and buttermilk alternately to creamed mixture.
  5. Pour into a cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
