Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 heaping tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • dash of salt
  • 1 cup pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar, eggs, and vanilla together.
  2. Beat with a mixer for 5 minutes on high speed.
  3. Add cocoa and flour into the egg and sugar mixture; mix well.
  4. Pour the batter into an 8 x 8-inch pan or double for a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
