Granny Apple Squash

Ingredients

  • 3 lb. butternut or acorn squash
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 tart apple
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F.
  2. Halve the squash and scoop out the seeds.
  3. Rub the cut surfaces and cavities with oil.
  4. Place the squash flesh side down on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake until tender, about 30 to 40 minutes.
  6. Scoop out the flesh from the squash.
