Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, margarine, and confectioners sugar together until smooth.
  2. Blend in the flour until the dough comes together.
  3. Roll small portions of dough into balls about 1 teaspoonful each.
  4. Press down each ball to form a cookie shape.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow cookies to cool, then sprinkle with additional confectioners sugar if desired.
