A flavorful Italian-inspired green bean casserole with tomatoes, onions, and melted mozzarella, perfect as a side dish for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. can Italian-style green beans, drained
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • salt to taste
  • 14 1/2 oz. can Italian stewed tomatoes
  • 2/3 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Place beans in a lightly greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle diced onion over the beans.
  3. Arrange Italian stewed tomatoes evenly over the onion.
  4. Bake uncovered in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes.
  5. Add shredded mozzarella cheese on top and bake an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  6. Serve immediately.
