Ingredients

  • 8 oz. fresh green beans, cut lengthwise into strips
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup Biscuit baking mix
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Grease a 10-inch pie plate.
  3. Heat green beans and 1 inch of salted water to boiling.
  4. Cook uncovered for 5 minutes.
  5. Cover and cook until tender, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  6. Drain the green beans.
  7. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked green beans, chopped onion, crushed garlic, drained mushrooms, shredded Cheddar cheese, eggs, milk, Biscuit baking mix, salt, and pepper.
  8. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  9. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie plate.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden brown.
