Ingredients

  • 1 lb. colorful gumdrops, cut in 4 pieces
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. pitted dates, chopped
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 (20 oz.) can apple pie filling
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon or apple pie spice
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. Mix gumdrops, raisins, nuts, and dates with dry cake mix.
  2. Beat together apple pie filling, eggs, and cinnamon until well mixed.
  3. Pour the apple pie filling mixture into the cake and fruit mix and combine well.
  4. Pack the mixture into two greased loaf pans or one greased tube pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 70 minutes.
  6. May put icing on cake or eat plain.
