Halo-Halo is a refreshing Filipino dessert featuring a colorful mix of fruits, beans, and coconut, topped with shaved ice and milk, perfect for hot days and sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 regular size cantaloupe, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 3 cups shredded young coconut
  • 1 (10 oz.) bottle langka (jackfruit)
  • 1 bottle palm nuts
  • 1 (12 oz.) can big beans
  • 1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • sugar to taste

Instructions

  1. Fill a glass about three-quarters full with shaved ice.
  2. Place approximately 1 tablespoon each of cantaloupe, shredded young coconut, langka, palm nuts, big beans, and whole kernel corn over the shaved ice.
  3. Pour 4 tablespoons of evaporated milk over the ingredients.
  4. Mix all the ingredients and shaved ice together.
  5. Add sugar to taste.
