Ingredients

  • 16 slices bread, remove crusts
  • 8 slices ham
  • 8 slices cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard

Instructions

  1. In a greased 13 x 9-inch pan, lay 8 slices of bread.
  2. Top each bread slice with 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese.
  3. Place the remaining bread slices on top.
  4. Mix together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and dry mustard.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bread in the pan and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Sprinkle with cornflake crumbs and drizzle 1/4 cup melted margarine over the casserole.
  7. Bake at 325°F for 1 hour.
  8. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
